AJM Counselling provides a safe place for your thoughts and feelings to be expressed. Delivering compassionate and insightful counselling, offering a Person-Centred and Humanistic approach to working with Adults, Adolescents and Children.

Providing an approach that ensures a comfortable and safe way to focus on any current issues you may be experiencing. Offering a service that enhances learning giving families and young people self-confidence, self-esteem, and selfrespect. We help them to progress in every area of life, in the classroom, on the playing field, at work or during those everyday situations faced by all.

Anthony, your counsellor, has many years of experience working with families and children & young people living with a range of issues including depression, separation and generalised anxiety problems, ADHD, social phobia, and a variety of addiction problems. Driven by many years of his own lived experiences as a youth and family support worker, and as a defence veteran he understands the accompanying trauma, the related PTSD and the psychosocial thoughts and behaviours.

Person-Centred Counselling, also known as client-centred therapy or Rogerian psychotherapy (pioneered by Carl Rogers), requires the authentic personal involvement between both client and therapist. It is a real relationship wherein both view each other as important and the client feels valued for herself rather than for thinking, feeling, or behaving in ways others think she should.

The humanistic approach, is about free will, self-discovery and achieving your full potential as a human being, rather than concentrating on individual problems or symptoms. It looks at everything that makes you who you are and focuses on you as a unique individual and your relationship with the world around you.

AJM Counselling can help you with:

  • Difficulty concentrating.
  • Thoughts of suicide or death.
  • Changes in sleeping habits.
